Why Your Help Matters
Ohio Republicans have held control of both chambers in the state legislature for 19 of the last 23 years. Whether it’s ignoring the constitutional amendment fighting for fair districts, purging voters from the voting rolls, or trying to rip away the right of Ohioans to have autonomy over their bodies, our Republican elected officials have proven they don’t see themselves as accountable to the people who elected them.
By putting their own interests over those of their constituents, we’ve seen the GOP make the lives of Ohioans worse, not better, while advancing more extreme legislation and rhetoric targeted at our most marginalized communities. With more Democrats in the Ohio Legislature, we can finally hold our Republican elected officials accountable for their votes and their actions.
Electing Democrats in 2024
In 2024, Democrats in Ohio will have the opportunity for the first time in 10 years to make large gains in our State House and State Senate. Blue Bucks anticipates 9 competitive State House races and 5 competitive State Senate races.
While we must run competitive races, we must also protect our vulnerable incumbents and support the current Democratic leadership.
